WAM+ has been ported over from the C++ language and
completely rewritten in Visual Basic to make it easier to maintain and upgrade. |
 |
New categories such as Light, Force,
Electrical, and Cooking have been added. |
 |
Several of the categories such as Weight, Volume, and
Length have been expanded to include more units. |
 |
Our Help screens and reference tables have many
new additions including a Alphabet categories (Greek
and other), ANSI tables, and Wine Bottle sizes. |
 |
The decimal-to-fraction converter has been integrated
into the unit-conversion interface. Thanks to faster computers we can now convert all
decimals to fractions at once. There is no more clicking twice just to see a single
fraction and no more external dialog box. |
 |
There is now a "spinner"
control to set the number of decimal places that you want displayed. (There is no loss of
precision since WAM's internal calculations are always made using full precision). |
 |
WAM+ now has printing capabilities. |
 |
We have added a Roman Numeral
converter and a Number Systems utility. |
 |
The Trigonometry module has been completely
re-worked. It has a new, more detailed, Dynamic Triangle and new
features including Auto-Scaling and the user's choice of
decimal or degree-minute-second display of angles |
 |
The Trigonometry module now supports angle entry in degrees,
minutes, AND seconds. |
 |
We have added "Tips of the Day"
to the Help system. |
 |
Extensive use is made of "ToolTips".
(Those are the little boxes that pop up when you hold your cursor over a control). |
 |
A wind chill factor slider has been
added to the Temperature category. |
 |
Show only the tabs you want and
"turn off" any categories that are not useful to you. |
 |
You can choose either a "manila folder"
look or system colors for the main tab pages while the tabs themselves can be either
multi-color or manila. |
 |
You have a choice between six different
"cover" styles or you can have WAM+ pick one at random. |
 |
You can choose to have the buttons display in
"left-handed" mode. |
 |
If you wish you can have WAM+ be "always on
top". |
